'A drawing is simply a line going for a walk'- Paul Klee
Peer Feedback:
Some good stuff: 'A lot of thought gone into the idea of a journey' 'letter forms are really clever' 'tells a story' 'pulled it off really well' 'nice textures' 'good balance of colour and style'
And some not so good stuff: 'Could use more texture' 'the leaves need refinement' 'it doesnt show 'drawing'' 'unclear quote'.
I completely agree with all the feedback that was written, I will definitely bear these things in mind for the next brief.
I have developed my Adobe Illustrator skills in this brief. Up until very recently, I have steered clear of this software for the sole reason being that I just didn't know how to use it very well and instead of learning it, I had just used Photoshop. For the 'A Matter of Opinion' brief, again I was going to use Photoshop and actually started working on this software until Matt showed me how to use the pen tool well and challenged me to use illustrator for the whole of this brief's final outcome. The choice I took to do the whole of the final piece in Illustrator was a little risky and despite my outcome being quite rubbish I have learnt a great deal within the space of just a few days. I could also go as far to say that doing this on illustrator and producing a bad outcome and learning a lot is better than doing an excellent piece on Photoshop and learning very little.
Overall I do not like the outcome however I have learnt a great deal.
