The different frames to use in my illustrations

After a tutorial with Ben and speaking about my interest in editorial illustration, he helped me to plan out some editorial illustrations that will benefit me and my practice for the OUIL 603 brief 1. My plan for this brief is to greater my editorial illustration skills, Ben gave me practical techniques to help me to not only work hard but to work smart.

Initially I wanted to create 1 editorial illustration a week and create it within 24 hours but after speaking with Ben he advised me that creating 5 illustrations at these main formats that newspapers use would be the most beneficial and will help me to manage my time better- especially when other deadlines loom. Ben's experience helped to show me these 5 main formats that are often used in editorial illustration. This seems much more feasible for me and I am excited to get started on them!

I also realise that for my illustrations to all work together, they must have some kind of consistency- this is why I have created this colour palette to use throughout al my illustrations. I must not use any other colour than these ones here.
